Terms of use
The short version
Use Better English to prepare for your exam. Don't scrape it, resell it, or pass its output off as an official Cambridge assessment.
No affiliation
Better English is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Cambridge Assessment English. “Cambridge English”, “B2 First”, “C1 Advanced” and related names belong to their respective owners and are used here only to describe what the material prepares you for.
AI feedback is guidance
Scores and feedback produced by the writing assessor are an estimate generated by a language model. They are not an official band score and carry no weight with any exam board.
Premium subscriptions
The free plan is free indefinitely. Premium costs $10 per month and renews automatically until you cancel. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, who appear on your statement and issue your invoices.
Cancel whenever you like from Account → Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your Premium access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing is charged after that. If a payment fails we may suspend Premium access until it clears.
If something goes wrong — you were charged twice, the upgrade never applied, you cancelled and were billed anyway — email contact@betterenglish.net and we will put it right.
Availability
The service is provided as-is, without warranty. We may change or withdraw features at any time. If we withdraw something you are actively paying for, you can cancel and keep access for the remainder of the period you paid for.
