Privacy

Better English is a study tool. We keep the minimum needed to show you your own progress.

What we store

• Your name, email address and profile picture, supplied by Google when you sign in.
• Your exercise attempts: which exercise, your answers, your score and how long it took.
• Aggregates derived from those attempts — XP, streaks, achievements and your level.

What we don't store

• Payment details. There is nothing to pay for.
• Speaking recordings. Audio you record stays in your browser and is never uploaded.
• Anything about you from third-party trackers or advertising networks.

AI features

Writing submissions and dictionary lookups are sent to a third-party language-model provider to generate feedback. Don't paste anything confidential into them.

Deleting your data

Ask and we will delete your account and every attempt attached to it. There is no retention period and no backup copy kept afterwards.
