Electric vehicles (EVs) are essential to reducing global carbon emissions. They are cleaner, more efficient, and increasingly affordable. Governments should invest in infrastructure and incentivize EV adoption to combat climate change and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
While EVs have benefits, they are not without problems. Battery production is environmentally damaging, and the electricity used often comes from non-renewable sources. Moreover, car-focused infrastructure remains unsustainable regardless of the power source—what we need is better public transport, not just cleaner cars.
