It seems (0) UNBELIEVABLE (BELIEVE) that the world 1FAME Giants' Causeway is located on the coast of County Antrim, in 2NORTH Ireland, and is considered to be one of the 3GREAT natural wonders of the United Kingdom. It is made up of thousands of interlocking basalt columns, which are the result of an ancient 4VOLCANO eruption, which occurred some 50 million years ago.
These 5HEXAGON columns lead from the land out into the Irish Sea, where they 6APPEAR, and there are identical columns on the 7SCOTLAND side of the sea giving the impression that the structure is in fact a land bridge, or causeway, between Ireland and Scotland which, according to legend, was created when Irish giant Finn MacCool was challenged to a fight by the 8NEIGHBOUR giant, Benandonner.
In 1986, the Giant's Causeway was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and, since then, has attracted many visitors from around the world.
