In a rather (0) UNEXPECTED (EXPECT) twist, vinyl records have made a huge comeback in recent years. 1SURPRISE, sales are now higher than they have been at any point since the 1980s. The 2POPULAR of vinyl is no longer limited to older music fans; serious 3COLLECT spend hours hunting down rare pressings in second-hand shops, and plenty of 4YOUNG are buying their very first turntables. When asked about their 5PREFER for vinyl over streaming, most people mention the warmer, richer sound that records offer. There is, they say, a certain 6WARM in the crackle of the needle that purely 7DIGIT music simply cannot match. Of course, vinyl is not without its drawbacks. Records are heavy, fragile and, compared with a phone full of playlists, rather 8CONVENIENT to carry around. Even so, for many listeners, the pleasure of owning a physical album far outweighs these minor inconveniences.
