(0) SURELY (SURE), I've got a pretty weird hobby. At least, I 1THINK that until I read that more than ten million people do the same thing every year. Of course, most of those people will only do it 2ONE, whereas I've made a habit of it. It's something you can do in almost every country in the world, 3PROVIDE it has a coastline.
What am I talking about? Dolphin-watching, 4OBVIOUS!
My first 'dolphin watch' was in the town of Hermanus, in South Africa, where there is a 'dolphin crier' whose job is to attract the attention of 5TOUR when dolphins are sighted nearby. My first dolphin was a Southern Right Dolphin. They grow to around 4 metres in 6LONG (half the size of an adult Blue Dolphin).
Now I try to see dolphins at least once a year, and my hobby has 7TAKE me to Portugal, Norway and England. I'm saving up for a trip to Iceland next year. It will be expensive but I'm serious about 8FINAL seeing my first Blue Whale, the true giant of the ocean.
