I will never forget the day my parents (0) GAVE me my first bicycle. It was my seventh birthday, and I had been dreaming a bike for months. When I saw it in the garden with a huge red ribbon on it, I could not believe my eyes.
My father promised to me how to ride it that same afternoon. At first, it seemed impossible. I fell several times and hurt my knees, but my father kept encouraging me. He told me not to up and reminded me that everyone falls at the beginning.
After about an hour of practice, something finally clicked. Suddenly I was riding on my own, with the wind in my hair and a huge smile on my face. My mother, who was watching from the window, shouted 'Well !' That evening, I was so excited that I could hardly asleep. I still think of that day as one of the happiest of my childhood.
