We had been looking forward to our sailing weekend for months. The forecast had promised sunny skies, so when we left the harbour on Saturday morning, we were in a (0) CHEERFUL mood. Within two hours, , the sky started to change. Dark clouds appeared on the horizon, and the wind began to stronger.
At first, my uncle, who was in of the boat, tried to reassure us. He said small storms were common at that time of year. But soon the rain came heavily, and we could hardly see the coast. My cousin and I were asked to put on our life jackets and hold of the ropes.
Thankfully, my uncle is a very experienced sailor. He stayed calm, turned the boat around and slowly steered us back to the harbour. When we finally arrived, and cold, we were incredibly grateful to him. It was an adventure none of us will ever forget.
