Last summer, my cousin and I (0) DECIDED to spend a week hiking in the Pyrenees. Neither of us had much experience, so we a lot of time reading guides and watching videos before we left. We also bought proper boots and a big rucksack of carrying everything we would need.
On the first day, we caught an early train and arrived at the small village where our route began. The weather was perfect and the views were amazing that we stopped every few minutes to take photos. By the afternoon, however, we were tired, and we were happy to reach the mountain hut where we would sleep.
The following days were harder. We had to climb steep paths and cross rivers, and at one point my cousin nearly gave Fortunately, we kept going and, on the last day, we reached the top of the highest peak. Standing up there, looking down at the valleys below, I realised the effort had been it.
