When we moved into our new flat last spring, we quickly noticed that the man (0) LIVING next door was a little unusual. He never said hello, and he always looked the other way when we passed him on the stairs. My sister was convinced he was hiding something, but my parents told us not to any attention to it.
One evening, however, something strange happened. We heard loud noises coming his flat, as if someone was moving heavy furniture. Then, a few minutes later, an unusual smell into our kitchen through the window. My mother became worried and decided to knock on his door.
To our surprise, he opened the door with a big smile and us to come in. His flat was full of small wooden statues that he had carved himself. He explained that he was a quiet man because he spent most of his time on his art. From that day on, we became good friends, and we often visit him for a cup of tea.
